My Services
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you’re unsure what to expect.
In our sessions, we’ll work together at your pace. You decide what feels important to talk about, and I’ll support you in exploring those thoughts and feelings with care and curiosity, never judgement.
Counselling isn’t about giving advice or telling you what to do. Instead, it’s a space to understand yourself more deeply, process what’s been difficult, and begin to feel more empowered and connected to who you are.
While my core approach is person-centred, I also work integratively, which means I draw on other tools and techniques when they feel right for you. This might include mindfulness or grounding exercises, focusing techniques, or creative tools like visual cards and worksheets to support the process. These are always introduced gently and only if they feel helpful to you.
Working this way allows us to stay true to the values at the heart of person-centred counselling, which are empathy, honesty, and respect, while also offering flexibility to meet your individual needs.
You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in confidence, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel right for you.
Perhaps you’ve experienced a recent loss, relationship difficulty, or life change that’s left you unsure where to turn.
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. Counselling offers a space to explore what’s going on in your own words and at your own pace.

I offer in-person sessions in Deal, Kent, as well as online counselling across the UK. Both are an effective way to engage with therapy. For online sessions, after we mutually agree on a time and day, I send you an invite link via the secure platform Zoom. We then begin our session. Sessions are weekly and last 60 minutes. The number of sessions depends on your preferences, but I will discuss the details with you during your initial session. I offer both short- and long-term sessions for £60.00 each, lasting 1 hour.
When you start working with a counsellor, you may feel apprehensive about beginning counselling. The therapeutic relationship is essential for success. I create a safe, non-judgemental space to support you so that we can build a trusting relationship. Online sessions are a very convenient way of undergoing therapy at your pace, where you can find a quiet, comfortable space to be fully at ease.
Get in touch via francesca@ethereal-counsellng.co.uk and I will contact you to schedule an initial 10-minute FREE consultation. Here we will discuss what issues you are experiencing and your goals for therapy. You can also ask me any questions about the therapy process. If you want to proceed we can book your first in-depth online assessment session which usually lasts 60 minutes.
When you begin therapy with me, you control what we explore and discuss. My sessions take place in a safe and non-judgmental space, so you can talk freely and honestly about your experiences and current issues, helping you explore your emotions and feelings deeply. Therapy aims to help you find the answers from within, so you can understand better and move forward with your life.
Everything you discuss with me during our sessions is confidential. There are only two exceptions to this where I am obliged to break confidentiality: if you disclose involvement in or knowledge of any criminal activities or if there is a safeguarding issue if you or any adult or child related to you could potentially be under threat of harm or abuse.
