Person-Centred Counselling

& Clinical Supervision

Starting counselling isn’t always easy. If you’re here, you’ve taken an important first step. In-person counselling in Walmer, Kent. Online & telephone sessions available across the UK.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my page.

Hi, I’m Francesca Robson.

I’m a person-centred counsellor based in Walmer, Kent, offering therapy for adults and young people aged 16+, in person and online across the UK.

If you’re here, something may be feeling heavy.

Anxiety that won’t settle. Confidence that’s slipped away. Grief that feels isolating. Or simply a sense that you’re not quite yourself.

You don’t have to arrive with everything neatly explained. You just need a place to begin.

Person-centred therapy is built on the belief that you already hold the capacity for growth and change. My role isn’t to direct or diagnose you; it’s to offer a warm, steady, and non-judgemental space where you feel truly heard.

From there, understanding deepens. Things start to make sense. And change becomes possible.

I bring warmth, kindness, and a grounded presence to the work. Therapy with me is thoughtful, respectful and human.

Whether you’re looking for counselling in Walmer, Kent or online therapy anywhere in the UK, you’re very welcome here

My Approach

My work is grounded in person-centred counselling.

This means our sessions are led by you, your experiences, your feelings, and what feels important to explore. There is no fixed agenda and no techniques imposed. I trust that, given the right conditions, you can find your own clarity and direction.

My role is to offer a warm, consistent and non-judgemental space where you feel genuinely heard and understood. From there, understanding deepens, self-trust grows, and change can begin to happen naturally

Frequently asked questions

CAN I HAVE ONLINE, TELEPHONE OR FACE-TO-FACE COUNSELLING?

I offer In-person, telephone and online counselling. All are equally effective ways to engage with counselling. For online counselling, after we both agree on a time and day, I send you an invite link via the secure platform Zoom to meet, and we begin our session. Sessions are weekly and last 60 minutes. The number of sessions depends on your preferences, but I will discuss this with you during your initial session. I offer both short and long-term sessions for £60.00 per session.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM OUR SESSIONS?

When you start working with an online counsellor, you may feel apprehensive about beginning counselling. The therapeutic relationship is very important for success. I create a safe, non-judgemental space to support you so that we can build a trusting relationship. Online sessions are a very convenient way of undergoing counselling at your pace, where you can find a quiet, comfortable space to be fully at ease.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING OUR INITIAL CONTACT?

Get in touch via francesca@ethereal-counsellng.co.uk and I will contact you to schedule an initial 15-minute FREE consultation. Here we will discuss what issues you are experiencing and your goals for therapy. You can also ask me any questions about the therapy process. If you want to proceed, we can book your first in-depth online assessment session, which usually lasts 60 minutes.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A COUNSELLING SESSION?

When you begin therapy with me, you control what we explore and discuss. My sessions take place in a safe and non-judgmental space, so you can talk freely and honestly about your experiences and current issues, helping you explore your emotions and feelings deeply. Therapy aims to help you find the answers from within, so you can understand better and move forward with your life.

IS COUNSELLING CONFIDENTIAL?

Everything you discuss with me during our sessions is confidential. There are exceptions to this, where I am obliged to break confidentiality: if you disclose involvement in or knowledge of any criminal activities or if there is a safeguarding issue if you or any adult or child related to you could potentially be under threat of harm or abuse.
